Money Smart Week

In our continued effort to promote the public’s awareness of the value of financial planning and raise the profile of the FPA Illinois and its members, we are excited at our first ever partnership with the Federal Reserve of Chicago to promote their "Money Smart Week" that runs April 30th-May 5th.  The Illinois FPA has outlined three high profile events for our members to participate in.  The events and our need for volunteers are described below:

The 50 volunteers will provide two 30 minute financial planning consultations immediately following Ms. Savage's presentation. This high profile event will be promoted and covered by the Chicago Sun-Times and attended by FPA National Executive Director Marv Tuttle in addition to other media outlets and elected officials. Harold Washington Library is located at 400 South State Street, Chicago, Illinois 60605.

Volunteers will answer financial planning questions during the College’s Money Smart Day. 10-11 volunteers doing 2 hour shifts to man our FPA booth.  Additionally one of the volunteers will need to present a budgeting workshop from 2:00-3:00 pm.
