Internship

Help us develop future financial planning professionals.

Future members of the Financial Planning Association of Illinois are sitting in our college and program classrooms, taking CFP-Board registered course work to prepare them to sit for the CFP exam. As good as their teachers are, they can't prepare their students in one vital way: they can't give them practical experience as a financial planner.

Many students—undergraduate, graduate, career-changer—would like to gain work experience doing internships at financial planning firms. In turn, you may be seeking a way to mentor younger planners, to evaluate potential new hires, and to get some of the extra work in your office completed at modest cost.

We invite you to complete the form to list your internship opportunity. You can specify the requirements you seek in your intern and whether the position will be paid or unpaid. Or you may want to review the short resumes posted on the site and select potential interns to interview.

If you are a prospective intern, please complete an application or review opportunities available.

We hope you'll participate in this exciting new initiative of FPA of Illinois. It has great potential to match the needs of our members' firms with future colleagues who are eager to apply what they have learned as well as to learn more about a financial planning career.

We invite you to review FPA of Illinois' Guiding Principles and posted opportunities and interested interns.
